IoT Sensors
CityKinect provides a broad range of IoT sensor devices to our customers. All devices are connected via whichever data transmission protocol best fits the custom solution that we have created to allow them to collect and transmit data to other devices or systems. CityKinect offer to its customers its Global SIM card and data plans featuring access to over 200+ countries and a wide range of data plans from a single meg to 5+ Gigs of pooled data per month. The CityKinect Sim Cards feature the convenience of having a single SIM card that can be used in multiple countries with coverage by multiple carriers. The CityKinect Sim Card connects to the best signalling local carrier and automatically connects to the next-best-connection automatically should the primary connection be lost, reducing the risk of data transmission drops. LoRaWAN
CityKinect offers it customers and ideal Rural data transmission protocol known as LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network). It is a low-power, wide-area wireless communication protocol designed for long-range transmission of small data packets. It is specifically designed for IoT devices that require low power consumption (battery powered too), long-range connectivity, and support for many devices (1000+). LoRaWAN operates in the unlicensed industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) bands, enabling deployment without the need for specific frequency licenses. Our customers use LoRaWAN in a wide range of IoT solutions, including smart cities, agriculture, asset tracking, environmental monitoring, industrial automation, and smart buildings. CityKinect offers to its customers the ability to transmit data across several different cellular technologies depending on the unique requirements of its AIoT solution. Cellular IoT refers to the use of cellular networks to connect and enable communication between IoT devices and LTE-M, NB-IoT, 4G, and 5G. are the cellular technologies that have been specifically designed for IoT devices. Cellular IoT leverages existing cellular infrastructure to provide connectivity, offering advantages such as wide coverage, reliable connectivity, and support for large-scale deployments. Each of these cellular IoT technologies offers specific benefits and trade-offs, depending on the use case requirements. LTE-M and NB-IoT are optimized for low power, wide coverage, and cost efficiency, making them suitable for applications with lower data requirements and longer battery life. 4G and 5G provide higher data rates, low latency, and support for more advanced use cases. Of note, the availability and adoption of these technologies vary by region and network operator.
